If you have even a high-school level knowledge of history, you know shit like what we're living through does not last, & bullies get their comeuppance. one thing that makes the US so very different from 1930s Germany is that 1930s Germany had about twice the population (~60 mill) of Texas; it's very easy to imagine life in Texas becmoing like life in 1930s Germany (it's long been approaching that) but the US is a really fucking big place
