Whenever people say TLJ doesn't understand Luke, it helpfully has Luke say a line (twice no less) that's a perfect rebuttal to most of the reasons given.

increasingly, it’s just an angry old man typing into the void

yeah I feel a very high sense of alarm about what the "incapable of loving our country" goalposts are going to include

quite certainly they're going to try very hard to use it on elected Democrats which is at least one reason I feel like we need to be TALKING ABOUT IMPEACHMENT WAY MORE THAN WE ARE
In case you thought you were safe bc you aren't one of his currently identified enemies to kidnap and deport, take a look at this line:

"and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country..."

No one is safe when a bully is in charge.

We had a giant tube attached to an air conditioner, which we called “the snake” and I used to put my shoes in there to cool off.

They have them on a lot of sets, actually! We also had one on Matilda and Pam, who played the Trunchbull, used to use it to cool herself off under all the padding.
That Christmas movies are filmed in summer is one of those "obvious when you think about it" things but, yeah that can't be comfortable. How did you stay cool?

This clip is really bad. Absolutely hollow. But important to remember also that as this tech becomes "better" and more advanced, simply it being "bad" isn't going to cut it as a rhetorical argument. Slop like this must be opposed because it's fundamentally anti-human, regardless of "quality"
The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them

A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.

Real life villains are the only ones served when compared to fictional ones, because it makes people think they're competent. Genuinely believe the reason so many hated Hux is because his pernicious, petty, coward vibes are more realistic than any Vader. And they don't like thinking about that.
Tomorrow’s episode covers this. Comparing these people to Palpatine and the Empire is a disservice to the fictional villains.

They’re mean and STUPID. Orders so illegal that anybody with a conscious has to speak to a reporter and trickle it out. Same thing happened with the Coast Guard fiasco.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.

I'm still convinced the reason we've heard so much about this movie despite how early it is, despite how every other Star Wars project says nothing until it's done. Is because they want to distract from the #TheHuntforBenSolo news and the fairly universal criticism they had over it.
Shawn Levy: "they gave me so much creative freedom, more than I've ever had"

Also Shawn Levy: "they made me change the third act"

Obviously Rey needs stories not about or connected to Ben. But it's hard not to notice how many are very pressed at him ever being mentioned even, but never balk at how much of Luke's stories have at the least allusions to his father.

Among other things, the (nebulous but clearly unconstitutional) attack on naturalized US citizens contained in this screed is a significant escalation.
