The 15 nautical mile TFR over Chicago’s city center has naturally cleared, we will see if they extend it any further or re-upped.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
Things have calmed down and protesters are naturally slowly leaving.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
And now protesters are slowly moving back to where they were before they were kicked out. As a county officer said he doesn’t really care or understand the village ordinance.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
Okay after moving protesters away, they gave up and fell back to where they were before this all started and Broadview PD has left and 25th is open again.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
County Sheriff is clearing out the protesters, no real violence officers have their batons out but are just walking slowly and shooing people away.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
Broadview PD is now here and a message playing that people have to leave, traffic on 25th Ave is being shutdown by Sheriff and Broadview PD.

A man in orange and wrapped in a American Flag got the attention of Cook County Sheriff’s police to ask if they’ll enforce the 6:00 protest curfew, the officer in command said only if Broadview police try to enforce it.

Went to check out the other side and there’s a hundred or so still rallying on the 25th and Harvard side of things.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
And like with previous nights I’ve been out here, everyone has packed and left to meet the 6:00 P.M. protest curfew imposed by the village of Broadview.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
After some speeches about non-violent revolution and resistance from state repression, the program outside Beach Street is over and people are packing up. (Note, I got here only recently so presumably they’ve been here longer)
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
Current view outside the Broadview, around 50 or so people with lawn chairs, yoga mats sitting a listening to speeches from Jane Goodall.

#BREAKING The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals PARTIALLY grants the stay sought by the Trump Administration.

The stay is GRANTED as to federalization of the National Guard.

But it is DENIED as to deployment.

So deployment still BLOCKED, but troops "do not need to return to their home states."

25th Ave will be opening shortly. ISP gave a final warning to not go into the road or folks will be arrested.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
Sheriff’s police came up to this guy and after he consented to a search started looking through his bag. Answering some questions currently, hasn’t been detained yet.

Rabbi Michael Ben Yosef has left and now it’s just media and police kinda in an awkward stand off. 25th Ave is still closed.
tylerplariviere.bsky.social
And at 6:00 Rabbi Michael Ben Yosef has told people the protest is over and to disperse. 25th Avenue is currently closed. Most of the protesters are leaving most of the media and content creators are still hanging out.

Well with a little help from Broadview Police Department and ISP, the protesters have moved over towards the 25th Avenue and Harvard side of things, but protest curfew is coming close so PD told them to get on the sidewalk.
