More than a third have failed so far, four officials told me, impeding the agency’s plan to hire, train, and deploy 10,000 deportation officers by January. To pass, recruits must do 15 push-ups and 32 sit-ups, and run 1.5 miles in 14 minutes.
“It’s pathetic,” one career ICE official told me, adding that before now, a typical class of 40 recruits had only a couple of candidates fail, because the screening process was more rigorous.

Last week, I broke the story of how a Russian street fight promotion expanded into the US with help of neo-nazis from the Active Club network & Patriot Front.

Streets Fight Club (SFC) has promoted no-rules, bare-knuckle fights on Instagram & YouTube while raising funds for Russia’s war on Ukraine.

The New York Times’ cynicism is intolerable. After Trump began demolishing part of the East Wing for his ballroom project, NYT noted that Trump said in July it “won’t interfere with the current building.” Instead of casting that as a lie, NYT softens it by saying his promise “seemed unrealistic.”

Mr. Trump originally said back in July that the construction of his ballroom, at a cost of more than $200 million, “won’t interfere with the current building,” but that always seemed unrealistic given how big the plans were. On Monday, he said it would be able to hold “999” people.
