Es lohnt sich, die Posts im Thread genau zu lesen. Daraus wird erkenntlich, dass kein Bruch des Abkommens durch Hamas stattgefunden hat. Das wäre dann der Fall, wenn ein Frist vereinbart worden wäre, innerhalb derer die vereinbarte Leistung nicht erbracht worden wäre. Eine solche Frist gibt es ncht.

Israel is using the failure to return the bodies of hostages as a pretext to violate the ceasefire themselves, but as Nour Odeh points out, the ceasefire agreement did not contain a timeline for the handing over of the bodies & Israel already knew it might take weeks or months.

Indeed, market forces. If ppl are desperate to make money in an illegal way, there'll be an illegal market. My point is: You need a comprehensive concept with clear objectives, check whether it's realistic + can achieve what it's supposed to achieve. Idealism's great, but you don't want to kill ppl.

Class A drugs are massively addictive. Crystal Meth wrecks the health of ppl pretty fast. It's hard to tell from what was said whether access to drugs generally is supposed to get easier. You have to have a clear idea why you would want to do that and which drugs this is to apply to.

Drugs might be sold by ppl who don't get a regular job because they were in prison, are not allowed to work (eg minors or asylum seekers), aren't legal residents or have mental health issues. There's no magic solution for these groups. Illegal drug dealing can't just be wished away.

You seem to suggest a) + c), a right to get stoned while reducing crime. Worth noting that this will give more ppl access to drugs and, thus, will lead to more cases of addiction. Ppl tend to self-medicate their mental health issues. Drugs don't solve these problems, they make them much worse.

It might be a good idea to define the objectives of such a law first. Is it about
a) reducing crime
b) reducing drug abuse
c) a 'right to get stoned' safely
d) allowing those affected by addiction to access treatment without fear of being convicted
e) reducing the workload on the legal system ❓

In the social sphere, letting the sense of identity of one group override biological reality and thereby dismiss fundamental rights + interests of another would be discriminatory. Nobody would claim you have the right to sh!t in your neighbour's garden if you believe you're cat.

The individual sense of identity cannot place anyone in an intermediate zone because identity is multifaceted, not binary. It is to be respected within the personal sphere but is not without limits in the social sphere.

The concept of "an unacceptable intermediate zone" seems to blur the concepts of a) sense of identity vs b) biology as well as the concept of c) one's personal sphere vs d) the social sphere, where fundamental rights + interests of different groups might be in conflict + have to be balanced.

Leuten wie Ruanda-Spahn + Dobrindt könnte man das ohne weiteres zutrauen, aber die 🇬🇧 Regierung ist @labouruk.bsky.social, Äquivalent zur SPD. There are a lot of ppl who cannot take up regular work and who would take the risk of committing criminal offences by selling drugs. That's what's happening *now*. So chances are that access to illegally sold drugs would still be there. So any "regulation" would come to nothing.

Dass Palästinenser in den israelischen Gefängnissen gefoltern werden und sexueller Gewalt ausgesetzt sind, das ist tatsächlich traurige Realität.

Richtig ist auch, dass Israel weiter Luftangriffe auf Gaza fliegt und in Gaza Menschen tötet.
