Done! This was my game face at 5 min ‘til go time for the church’s big Christmas musical program with choir, children’s choir, 2 vocal ensembles, orchestra, piano and organ (me.) It went very well, esp considering that we never did a straight-through dress rehearsal.

Well now, would you look at that? A massive, 4-YEAR-LONG study of NEARLY 30 MILLION people in France found that individuals who received a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine had a 74% LOWER risk of death from severe COVID-19 compared to unvaccinated individuals and ZERO increased risk of all-cause mortality.

This is my favorite time of the year in the piano studio - Christmas recital is done, and we can focus on something other than performance. My students are writing their own compositions about Christmas gifts using antecedent and consequent phrases.

When a student cancels because sick, and you think, "Oh, yay, I'm going to get everything done today," you're probably too busy. I am sorry he's sick. Home stretch this week. After Sunday, the only Christmas responsibilities left for me will be fun. I'll be scarce 'til then.

The tree is up! We make no effort to follow a theme or even place ornaments very carefully. We just enjoy all the memories and put them up wherever we can get them to fit. We have lots of vintage ornaments.

My piano students and I played at a retirement home this afternoon, and now I can say I have 3 of 4 Christmas events in the rearview mirror! Woo-hoo!

Hubby, having never even had a cavity filled, has survived a root canal. The tumble I took down the porch steps last night (stepped on dog toy) has left my ankle only sore, not bruised or swollen, so I’m also good to go to the company party tonight. No more crises, please. I bought a damn dress.

Looks like the OP is finding some good options, but reposting for exposure. She needs a digital piano w/ 88 weighted keys. Also hopefully a damper (sustain) pedal, a stand, & a bench to allow for sitting at the proper height.
Anyone in Western Washington who can help a little child for Christmas w/ an electric piano keyboard or... whatever this 👇 is?
