You’ll notice that new developments in generative AI are always accompanied by new ways of depicting women without their consent—undermining their autonomy and harassing them—almost like it’s a pillar of the technology and its evolution

“I spent three nights and three days in federal custody. During that time, I was never told what I was charged with, was not allowed to shower despite being covered in tear gas and pepper spray, had no phone call to my family, and no access to an attorney.” - George Retes, U.S. citizen and veteran.
I’m a US citizen and a veteran. ICE arrested me for no reason.
Jailed for three days without an explanation or ability to notify anyone, George Retes argues the only path to healing starts with the government taking accountability for its actions.

I despise Leto for (among many things) being the only bad part of Blade Runner 2049. It’s a miracle of a legacy sequel and it’s so unfortunate that his astoundingly bad acting brings down what is otherwise a perfect movie.
I honestly don’t get why his entire Joker performance (both on-screen and behind the scenes) wasn’t a gigantic career hole for Jared Leto to crawl out of. Like if my accountant sent me a used condom I’d probably just go to H&R Block to do my taxes.

is it not weird that every day there’s a new video of anonymous masked men having the time of their lives beating/shooting/disappearing people and the dem response from the top down is “republicans want to double your health insurance premiums”

Battlefield 6 is the best the series has been in nearly a decade – at least regarding the multiplayer. I cannot recommend the campaign, even if it has some neat ideas.

Battlefield 6: The Epic Return to Form We've Been Waiting For
The game the long-running series needed.

#Battlefield6 is the game the long-running series needed. 🔥

🗺️ Multiplayer map design is excellent for classic #Battlefield game modes.
👏 Atmosphere, feel, and sound are immersive and satisfying.
🔫 Classes return with distinct but varied roles.

I did not expect much from the campaign and was still disappointed
between you and me, some of my more scathing observations on the Battlefield 6 campaign were (understandably) cut from the final draft. my favorite bit was, "It's the kind of narrative you can continue to write after being bought out by the Saudi government for more than $50 billion."
"The campaign's subject matter is so inoffensive that it feels like it doesn't really say anything at all [...]. Much like how Battlefield 6 at large feels like it's trying to appeal to everyone, the story is going out of its way to not make any bold statements on the military-industrial complex."
"Playing Battlefield 6 is a sensory delight [...]. Each gun's report, the beeping noises of the helicopter you're piloting, the mechanical churning of a tank shell reloading, a rocket whizzing by, the groaning of a building that's collapsing – every bit of noise is incredibly well realized."
