Hi, I'm Ksandra, a Polish ttrpg creator currently living in Scotland.

I'm the author of Wise Women - a game about witches inspired by Eastern European plant folklore.

Split the party.

My favourite games are the ones where PCs have their own storylines in addition to the "main" one, go in separate directions and later come together and aren't always honest with each other about what they did/found out/think.

(This is for small parties, I don't do bigger than 4)

This is such a common topic it has practically become a meme but is the concern real? Some say you shouldn't split the party cause it slows down the game, while others say it makes more tactical sense. What do you think & why?

A lot of AI enthusiasts are keen to use LLMs to write books, and then use LLMs to summarise books and avoid reading them.

It seems to me they do not really care about books, nor reading. It's ok not to like books or reading, but I feel they are wasting time, silicon, and power.

SPINE was inspired by Nabokov’s Pale Fire, which pushes the reader to play with words and from which I’ve borrowed endnotes as a mechanic.

When you play, I hope that SPINE insists upon your playing with words and hunting for secrets, although the game’s unspoken rules may signal you not to.

SPINE is a ttrpg about losing yourself in a book. It insists upon playing with words and hunting down secret messages, although unspoken rules recommend against it.

In its endnotes and playful insistence on language, it is also loosely inspired by one of my favorite books: Nabokov’s Pale Fire.
