Interesting to consider that if you were to go and deface the Kennedy center by removing Trump’s name, you’d be arrested and charged with a crime, but your act would be no more unlawful than what they’re doing right now.

In Washington Irving’s “The Devil and Tom Walker”, the character sells his soul but nonetheless refuses Satan’s demand that he become a slave trader as going too far. They settle on moneylending.

That was 1824.

They knew.

1. Distract from the Epstein Files
2. Steal oil
3. Justify emergency powers
4. Justify use of the AEA for deportation/internment
5. Help the drug lord he just pardoned

Given the collapse of all Republican health care plans last night the ONLY option Speaker Johnson has to end the year without blowing up our healthcare system is to bring a clean vote to the floor on ACA extensions. It would likely pass. Everything else is deadly theater.

Stephen Miller and JD Vance say their opposition to immigration is not just gutter racism but concern about the cultures supposedly incompatible with the US.

Then they ban the adoption of non white children.

On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.

Lies. China bought $1.4 billion in soybeans from Illinois alone last year.

This year, due to Trump's policies, the U.S. is projected its lowest soybean exports to China since 2018—when Trump was also President.

Don't let Trump gaslight you. He's always been bad for our farmers.
Leavitt: "President Trump convinced President Xi to continue purchasing again American soybeans, which is something China wasn't doing under the last administration because they had no respect for President Biden or the country at the time."

Good news. I think I've come up with a policy idea that can both eliminate the harm that Trump's trade war is doing to farmers AND also reduce the cost of groceries for regular Americans. (You'll never guess what it is.)
Farmers get a bail out in the face of the costs they've born from Trump's trade war. Quite an admission that his policies have hurt Americans.

Now riddle me this: Why not bail out consumers who are paying more for imported goods?

41 minutes of watching two shipwrecked men trying to flip a boat and signaling for surrender/help before firing on them again reminds me of the 9.5 minutes Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck, in that it’s an agonizingly long time to be killing helpless people who clearly posed no threat.

There is no legitimate reason not to release the complete Sep. 2 video.

They released video of the first strike. What national security justification could there be for releasing video of the first part of the action but not the second? They wanted to cover up what happened after the first strike.
