I am a fan of all things Star Wars, and like talking about Video Games
I am glad Starfighter isn't forcing in legacy characters for the sake of it.

Rogue One was great, despite most of the legacy character scenes adding nothing or detracting from the film.

I am really glad we are having a fresh start on the big screen.

Even if Rian had been offered IX (which he wasn't), the timeframe was bad for whoever took the helm.

The December 2019 date should have been pushed back.

TROS is my least favourite Star Wars, but it's honestly a miracle that they made that film from scratch in two years, without a script or plan.

The only way to achieve this is by reinvesting in the innovative, risk-taking, great storytellers that Bob Iger cancelled on.

These are the people who pushed Star Wars forward and allowed it to reach wider audiences, beyond the lifelong fans like myself.
Disney CEO Bob Iger says the aim for the company is “more great storytelling to a larger audience, more innovation, more risk-taking, more really creation of happiness.”

Just sitting here in Adelaide, Australia working on a story - more specifically, trying to figure out how the hell Kylo Ren acts when he’s…

…happy.

I'm reading through The High Republic, and I'm loving Vernestra's story.

The Acolyte left so much mystery surrounding her and Qimir. It's only right that we get to explore their dynamic.

I'm curious how it mirrors Osha and Sol's relationship. Theirs will only hit harder with a Jedi we already love
Manny Jacinto would’ve like to see Qimir’s past with Vernestra Rwoh explored in THE ACOLYTE Season 2

I do hope the buzz for The Hunt for Ben Solo results in Disney overturning that cancellation, as well as snowballing into them correcting other mistakes such as The Acolyte S2 and a sequel to Solo.

We just have to keep making our voices heard. If we can save one, we can save them all.
Manny Jacinto on if the campaign for THE HUNT FOR BEN SOLO gives him hope for THE ACOLYTE Season 2

“I am always ready, and I would love to run it back if they’d have me. That was a role of a lifetime”

It would be cool if he ended up as the leader of Knights of Ren, but there are also many other interesting possibilities where the KoR get involved too.

Just having them involved would add so many interesting dynamics, while also leaving the story open so we don't have to expect Qimir to die.
Manny Jacinto says THE ACOLYTE could have explored Qimir as the first Knight of Ren

“I did run into an article about, and I think Leslye cleared things up a little bit, that a possible path was that Qimir was one of the first Knights of Ren, so that was a possibility to explore”

At this point, characters cheating death is a part of the Star Wars mythos.

I don't love the trope and have many concerns when they do attempt it.

But because so many stories have already retroactively brought characters back, I don't see why LFL shouldn't pursue similar stories in the future.

Lots in the news lately about Kylo Ren, Ben Solo and the Knights of Ren.

I’m fortunate to have written several stories on those subjects:

THE RISE OF KYLO REN (young Ben Solo; lots of KoR lore)

LEGACY OF VADER - THE REIGN OF KYLO REN (Kylo as Supreme Leader, more KoR)

CRIMSON REIGN (KoR pre-Ben)

The Knights of Ren perfectly suit Qimir's ideology.

Just think of the possibilities. Osha and Qimir would definitely have disagreements on the KoR. But, they would have to form some alliance if they want to survive Plagueis.

The story potential is insane #RENEWTHEACOLYTE
Qimir / The Stranger eventually became the first Ren and founded the Knights of Ren, reveals Leslye Headland in The Art of The Acolyte book.

I get why Lucasfilm prematurely announces new films once they get the greenlight now.

Apparently having a finished script isn't good enough for Disney, if they don't understand it.

Star Wars Celebration was so much fun, I already miss it! Still processing it all

I'm sorry I didn't live-post, I was having too much fun. Everyone was so nice!

I was lucky enough to get into all the main panels. Twice I was the last person let in. The Force was really with me

People have called this The Last Jedi of Superbowls, and I couldn't agree more.

Kendrick subverts expectations by not playing his nostalgic songs and feeding into the audience's wants.

Instead, he tells a story introspective of himself and the moment. Using this to push the genre forward.

Studio Executives, take notes.
Harrison Ford says Troy Baker’s performance as Indiana Jones is proof that you don't need AI to replace actors

“You don’t need artificial intelligence to steal my soul. You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent. He did a brilliant job and it didn’t take AI to do it”

What makes Star Wars timeless is its deep core messages, packaged in a way that resonates with everyone.

To truly capture the magic of Star Wars, one must understand what inspired Lucas, as those foundations are the intergenerational stories relatable to everyone.

Nolfi gets it.
“[Star Wars] can be about real things, deep things.”

It is baffling how this series has not gotten a second season. It is the only Star Wars show from 2024 that seemed to reach mainstream, casual audiences, who seemed to have a much more positive reception than the online fandom.
According to newly revealed data, #TheAcolyte was the second most watched series on Disney+ in 2024, accumulating 2.7 billion minutes viewed.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ took first place with over 3 billion minutes viewed.

Ryan is a great actor; he would fit into the Star Wars universe perfectly.

Although, it would be weird having him play the main character. I really enjoyed Star Wars' tradition of having a lesser-known actor play the main role.
Ryan Gosling is headed to the great galaxy far, far away.

The three-time Oscar nominee is in negotiations to topline the #StarWars feature project that will be directed by #DeadpoolAndWolverine filmmaker Shawn Levy: bit.ly/4h052YP

This thread is perfect, and also why I believe TLJ is possibly the best Star Wars movie of them all, and certainly should be in the debate for 3rd best at a minimum.

I love that this clearly points out that TFA boxed Rian Johnson into where he went just as much as he had his own agency.
Rewatch the The Empire Strikes Back and I think it's apparent that there was no other choice for Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi, given the events of The Force Awakens.

#SkeletonCrew is such a wonderful, marvellous show.

It's easily a top 3 Star Wars live-action series for me.

I was cheering, shouting, and getting teary-eyed throughout the finale.

It captured the essence of being a kid and discovering the franchise for the first time.

I would love to see the sequel era in animation.

Maybe a show set between TLJ and TROS, following the First Order-Resistance war and the main characters' growth between films.

Or a series about Luke's Jedi Academy, and Ben's fall to the dark side, and his relationship with his parents and Snoke.
Lucasfilm is reportedly developing at least TWO new animated Star Wars series.

Which era do you want to see next?

I remember at Star Wars Celebration how excited Ray was to share Baylon's story.

Recasting feels appropriate in honouring his legacy by continuing the story of the character he was so passionate about.
Rory McCann (who played The Hound in Game of Thrones) will reportedly take over the role of Baylan Skoll from the late Ray Stevenson in AHSOKA Season 2
