About 3 months ago I shared my first photo, a cardinal. 🪶

The response encouraged me to get out there to take more photos and keep sharing which is helping me in more ways than one.

Thanks to the #photography community for being amazing. Your work inspires me daily.

A bright red cardinal sits on a branch that runs diagonally from the left upper part of the frame to the bottom center. Branch has some lichens on it. Across from the cardinal is a little spanish moss. The background is blurry blues and brownish yellows.

Thanks Susan! I take a ton of squirrel pics so I was happy to find out squirrel Saturday was a thing 😁

Thanks! The only way to get the shutter speeds up even close to fast enough was to keep the lens wide open.

Here's a little bit of nightmare fuel as we head towards Halloween. 🎃

It's not the big spider that concerns me, it's all the little ones. 🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️😁

#ColorADay #OrangeSun #stunday #photography #spiders
A very large female yellow garden spider sits in the middle of the web, which is much denser just behind her body and catches the sun rays nicely. Surrounding here are several other tiny spiders in the same web. Some dark leaves are in the shadows in the lower part of the frame, and the sun shines in from the upper right. Background is blurred greens and yellows.

Didn't have the best setup with me for hummingbirds in flight but still had to try when I saw this ruby-throated hanging about the this week at the gardens. 🪶

Glad I did because I like the ghosted wing effect I ended up with due to slower shutter speed. 😎

#stunday #photography #birds #hummingbirds
A humming bird with a few bright red spots under its neck is drinking from a bright red flower on the left. Background is light greens and yellows. Its wings were moving too fast for the camera, so they are more of a ghostly see through wing but you can still make out some details.

Good morning Susan!

We're just back from an organized run out at the college. It's a beautiful morning to be outside with temps in the 60s and sunny. Too bad the cool weather it won't last 🌞

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Thank you Susan 😊

Why, hello there! 😁

#SquirrelSaturday #photography #squirrels
A squirrel peeks around a tree trunk, just its head and one paw can be seen. It looks directly at the camera. On the left side is a wall of spanish moss glowing in the sun.

This bristle grass was catching the setting sun and appeared to #glow a bit.

#BlueSkyArtShow #photography #coloraday #greensat
One string of barbed wire travels across the top of the frame, underneath one stalk of bristle grass grows diagonally from lower right to middle left. The bristles catch the sun from behind and light up nicely. Background is blurry green and yellow grass.

I have no idea why this ring was tied to this branch, but it was catching the morning sun nicely so I took some photos of it. 🌞

#BlueSkyArtShow #Glow #photography
A key ring hangs from a slender green branch by a very small twine. The morning sun reflects off the ring as well as some moisture on the twine. There are also some spider webs catching the sun attached to the ring and twine. Background is mostly blurry greens.

Good morning. Time for the #BirdOfTheDay theme and it is #Beakful , so anything in the beak from food to nest material and the alternative is #wading Good luck!! #birds #photography #EastCoastKin
A female European Stonechat with a warm orange-brown breast and a light brown head perches among green leaves, holding a few wisps of dried grass or straw in its beak. The soft, blurred background highlights the bird’s detailed plumage and the delicate strands it carries, giving a sense of nesting activity in a calm natural setting.

The forecast promised clear skies, but a blanket of dawn mist over the lake turned the morning into this scene.

Lizard #scape 🦎😁

#photography #lizards
A lizard sits upon a green leaf, surveying its kingdom. The sun shines in from the upper right lighting up that side of the scene, and the upper left is shadows.
