I have owned both of these books since I was a Sophomore in high school. They were a requirement for honors English and honors history.
I will pass them down to my kid in a few years…that lives in Texas.
They’re never going to be able to stop all of us from teaching our children the truth.

This book is banned inTexas and Tennessee and I suspect the entire south, but it shows when you boil a person down to their religion their skin color, background, sex or sexual orientation you’re not seeing them as a real person you see them as animal. And that’s how it was in that time and today
