It's bad enough when regular people throw out unverified stats and 'facts' but when you are an elected official, do you not hold yourself to a higher standard to challenge your own biases and fact check when making decisions with public money? #yqrcc

I truly fear next year is going to be the worst in a long time. IMO every effort is already being made to suspend the midterms/democratic norms indefinitely. This includes meaningless wars to construct a rationale for wartime measures. I think their only consideration now is timing.

I question whether crossing the floor is a feature that serves democracy but it is part of our system and completely above board. To me, that's where it ends. Partisan outrage (i.e., a travesty when it happens to me but cool beans when it works for me) just makes me respect you less.

RBC customer service sure doesn't want you to talk to a real person. It makes every effort to send you to online banking so you can do the task yourself. I told the 'AI assistant' how useless it was. Unsurprisingly, it didn't understand what I was saying.

Every snake oil con man defends their con with the same schtick. My cure is a miracle but I won't prove it in clinical trials because 'they' (big pharma, the medical establishment, etc...) don't want me to succeed. I also care deeply about patients but also want to hold a monopoly on the cure.
