“The [Saskatchewan] government acknowledged to CBC that there seems to be some confusion on [the] point [of who prosecutes offences under the Medical Profession Act 1981], promising a review ‘to ensure there is clarity on who enforces the Act.’”

The Crown. Pretty sure the Crown prosecutes offences.

Please get your annual Flu and Covid vaccines. Mask up. And stay home if you're sick.
Respiratory illnesses are going through the schools in Saskatoon. Shortages of substitute education assistants in the past week, with many staff absent due to illness. #vaccines #canada #saskatchewan #yxe

AI invisibilizes labour. How many people are even aware of the work subsaharan Africans did for 2$ a day and a heaping serving of mental trauma that even made LLM chat bots possible in the first place?
Last month, @theguardian.com framed this historical event project the same way; minimizing the years of archival work, the interviews etc it took to be able to do this.

Instead ‘AI solved this historical problem!’

As a farm gal dealing with the estate, let me tell you how fucking annoying it is to deal with these guys who want to buy equipment but think they can fleece you because you don’t know what the machinery is worth.

An excellent question for all SP MLAs.

Why has the government let things get so bad in the last two decades?
QP. NDP' Keith Jorgenson is up about health care issues in Kipling and is asking why they've let things get so bad there after 18 years of gov't. #skpoli

It is absolutely reprehensible that people lose their life savings, their homes, and more because of medical bills. You should never, ever have to choose between cancer treatment or going to university. Or having to choose between having a baby or housing.

For-profit health care is inhumane.

Okay, so, you can't get replacement cost on older homes if they're not your primary residence unless you want to pay a 40% premium (is this a law or a decision by insurers?). Great, but when you assess the property at 2x what it's worth, it amounts to replacement cost.

I don't understand insurance

Those Angus Reid polls hit my inbox every now and then and the next time someone from the SP calls to ask for my support for their local candidate I’m
Going to tell them until I get my gun money nobody’s getting my vote.

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen taxpayer dollars going to.

If gun owners are law abiding, weapons won’t be taken away. If the laws surrounding firearms change and there’s no grandfather clause, some may now be in violation of the law. It’s super easy to not have your guns taken away.
Robert Freberg says Saskatchewan will protect gun owners from charges, and ensure fair compensation.

Aaron Strauss of Cache Tactical agrees with the move.

"If these firearms are stolen from law-abiding citizens, by the federal govt, they [should be] at least compensated fairly for it." #cdnpoli

Just when I think I’ve figured out my favourite @ronsexsmith.bsky.social song I find another one I have to listen to on repeat.

Today’s is The Man at the Gate (1913).

This man’s voice is like butter. Maybe not as good on poccorn but that may need to be tested.

Guy: “I refuse to wear a mask. Already had Covid so don’t need to.
Me: “cool. I wear one because I like not being sick.”
Guy: “people don’t trust you if you wear a mask.”
Me: “true. I don’t trust the guys with balaclavas waving American flags and fuck the PM signs.”
Guy: “No, not like that.”

Okay so the AB govt only likes a free and open market when the companies it likes, who are possibly doing an illegal, in the name of “protecting investors”? Isn’t this just…organised crime? Did Ms. Smith re-invent the mob?

I think I’m the only person in the country who did not care for these little mounds of saccharine joy. My grandmother though. She BOUGHT THESE THINGS BY THE CASELOAD.
For over 130 years, Canadians either loved or hated Cherry Blossoms.
Considered a staple of the Christmas season, these candies were often found in stockings.
In January 2025, it was announced Cherry Blossoms were being discontinued.
This is their history.
