WOW has Apple enshittified itself lately. Not only do I loathe the stupid “Liquid Glass” display “feature” with the burning rage of a thousand angry suns, THEY GOT RID OF LAUNCHPAD and went to a Windows-like app browser and I fucking hate it.

YOU DON’T NEED TO CHANGE A GOOD DESIGN.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it say people have the right to own ammunition I say ban all the bullets end of story………
December 29, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Yes. Absolutely it is.
December 29, 2025 at 9:02 PM
No. It’s no coincidence. When someone tries to make a stupid argument we MUST DEMAND EVIDENCE BASED FACTS.

Anything less does a disservice to humanity.
I guess it's just a coincidence that these gun apologists never bring a citation with their bullshit arguments.

Is there some conspiring occurring to keep these mass rock killings quiet?
December 29, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Yes. It does.
Point should be a tool like any tool was made for a purpose, a hammer to hammer something, a drill to drill, and a gun to kill. Much easier to use something for what it was designed for. Describing a firearm jualst as a tool hides the real purpose.
December 29, 2025 at 8:56 PM
Yes.

This is exactly the point I was making.
The point being no-one needs a gun and the rapid and instant nature of death by guns is the issue.
December 29, 2025 at 8:54 PM
EXACTLY.
This is my crescent wrench. There are many others like it but this one is mine. My crescent wrench is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

Your comments are the intellectual equivalent of taking a rock to a gun fight...

Oh my god, people.

I didn’t say firearms and their use/ownership shouldn’t be regulated. They should be, just like all other potentially lethal tools.

I said they’re efficient killing tools. Which they are. It’s not a value statement.
December 29, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Yes. It’s an argument I am making. Because it’s a ridiculous argument.
But what if they used a trebuchet??? (This is legit an argument the OP is making).
December 29, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Okay then.

A gun is a tool. It’s a tool used for killing. That’s a value- and judgement-free statement.

Nowhere did I say people should have guns if they’re not subsistence hunters.
No, you're just excusing gun murders, because a gun is just a tool, right. Sweetheart you are not helping yourself any... still coming off as an amosexual gun nut
December 29, 2025 at 8:48 PM
Yes. It is silly.

That is exactly my point.
This is just silly. Oooh I can kill somebody with a charged capacitor. I could get lucky with a pencil I prison they sharpen cans what is your point? There are precious few people who can kill with a rock. Almost everyone (and the occasional dog) is lethal with a firearm.
December 29, 2025 at 8:46 PM
LOL

I have never in my life advocated for anyone other than subsistence hunters to have firearms.

Guilty on my being a communist though.
explore her timeline, capitalism kills more people than guns, though Canadian sounds like a bizarre Sanders repub, socialism with guns
December 29, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Absolutely correct.
The US has a culture of violence and revenge. Firearms are a part of the problem because they do enable weak individuals to do a lot of harm swiftly and easily. Capital punishment is a barbaric example of the nations bloodlust. Popular culture is saturated with gloryfication of violence.
December 29, 2025 at 8:39 PM
100%
We *would* still kill each other (see rocks example above). However, between the time you have your next rock in hand and target lined up, there would be more time for someone to stop you. There is murder in European countries, but the numbers are WAY lower than in the US. Due to so many guns.
December 29, 2025 at 8:39 PM
This is brilliant.
Tax the shit out of bullets I say…
December 29, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Exactly my point.
And because our society’s awash in guns, we suffer from a staggering rate of suicides by bullet

If we can shift our culture from the romance of the gun, we might save tens of thousands of lives annually, too

You can kill yourself a dozen different ways, but again, the gun lowers the bar to success

While on vacation my phone was mostly put away.

It was good.

It was very good.

Perhaps a step back will do me good.

Capitalism IS greed.

I can’t think of a single redeeming aspect of capitalism. Zero good things.
December 29, 2025 at 7:12 PM
I’m no firearms apologist. Guns are tools; like every other tool, they can be used to cause harm. We can kill just as many people with rocks as with guns; it just takes longer.

My POINT is that whether or not gun ownership outside of subsistence hunting were illegal, we’d still kill each other.
December 29, 2025 at 6:18 PM
You can’t fix stupid.

I left a review for our resort.

Unsolicited, TripAdvisor asked me to provide a review and photos. I obliged because our resort was amazing.

Tripadvisor sent an email to inform me they’d removed my review as it violated their AI policy. They told me to “make the required edits and resubmit”.

Other people on vacation: isn’t the view gorgeous.

Me on vacation: I met a communist, a libertarian, and a few political dissidents and refugees at the swim up bar! One of them studied with Guevara’s sister. Or maybe daughter. Like how cool is that‽

(Everyone else: BUT THE VIEW)
