I think another factor in this month being so good is probably that the book is Halloween/autumn themed, so people have maybe had the book on their TBR for a while to specifically read this month.
AND!! It's currently 44 in Transgender Romance on Amazon, which is AMAZING.

You can see spikes in my page reads in March and October this year, and those came directly after doing Stuff Your Kindle events (a free ebook event with a bunch of other authors). I haven't gotten many reviews out of SYKDs, but they (so far) always boost me in the sales ranks.

The Full Moon Problem turned 1 year old today, and I'm really happy it hit 100,000 page reads on Kindle Unlimited in its first year! This month is also shaping up to be my most sales yet, which is very exciting.

I finally watched KPop Demon Hunter (don't ask why it took so long, I am Undiagnosed), and tell me why I cried like 5 times during this movie?? Like crying in the first 2 minutes, not just the big emotional climactic scenes.

NaNoWriMo: partnered with vanity presses that prey on authors, had a child grooming scandal, accusations of being a hostile work environment and all volunteers quit or got fired, started heavily promoting AI and called people ableist for being anti-AI

Yes, AI usage melts people's brains, costs jobs, and costs trillions, but at least it... also consumes ridiculous amounts of energy and water. :/

Gawd I wish we invested that money in something useful, like high speed rail and public transit. And healthcare. And education.

I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work. France has Earth’s highest reading rate b/c long lunch breaks & labor protections
