at this point in the season i really only have lettuces in my garden to donate, but i’d love to give that to anyone who could use it. does anyone have any recos for types of places to google for produce donations? do i just start with local food banks? or is cash just better in this situation?

if you are looking to learn more about the axolotl i highly recommend World of Wonders by Aimee Nezhukumatathil. lovely reading about axolotls and other incredibly cool creatures
I have learned that is an axolotl (ak suh la tul) costume and that it is an actually existing endangered aquatic salamander that lives only in the canals of Mexico City. Saw several today&thought I would share in case you too thought this was some kind of anime reference you weren’t getting.

we figured seattle would have enough people so went to renton’s protest instead and I’m so glad we did. the crowd was enormous and someone was handing out tiny john brown zines 🥹
