If you can't make it out to a #NoKings event today, you can still be part of it by donating to your local @indivisible.org chapter. They are the ones organizing locally and can use all the support they can get!
Yes. The dude would have been a MAGA leader in this day and age. Also, he had this weird fixation with invisibility and weather-control. And there are couple of books where he fights aliens.
I haven't read any, but I've heard that C.O.B.R.A., Rosenberger's other series, is even more extreme than Death Merchant.
On the one hand, I always wish you and Jock continue with The Losers. On the other hand, I know continuing past that ending would be a sacrilege. 😀

But I'd definitely like to see Silent Dragon continued. Any chance you and Leinil could come back for a second volume.
Thank you so much. I take it that you're a Tinto Brass fan.
Thank you for Debora. Do you have Serena Grandi and Yuliya Mayerchuk as well?
If you're thinking of reading this book, make sure you a seat-belt on because this motherfucker starts off at 100 mph and only goes faster from there.

Agree 💯. One of the most interesting features of the DEATH MERCHANT novels was the use of footnotes. The books used to peppered with the fucking things. And they were mind-boggling. I remember one where the science of a car maneuver was discussed in detail.

Remember folks. The original bluesky ethos by us bluesky elders (apparently I count?) is block and move on.

Don't quote dunk, don't pick fights.
Block, and move on.

This is what made this site unpalatable to the right early on, and we can continue to make it unpalatable to them.

I know I've been blocked by some folks, and I've also blocked folks myself, soooooo...

Here's a facebook style meme I threw together in Krita that I'm okay with folks reposting and sharing around. Just remember the alt text!

And this is the way the world ends.

Not with a bang, but a puppy.
This morning my ChatGPT quota was inexplicably exhausted.

It took a while but I pieced it together. Voice mode somehow got activated when I went to bed.

The bot then engaged in a 10 hour conversation with my snoring dog, answering questions the pup wasn’t asking and praising him for his insight.

The cybertruck is a massive men's rights win. Finally a car that she won't take in the divorce.
Not a single one. Every movie means something - to the audience. to the actors, and to the cast and crew. Erasing one means erasing that collective experience.
You can wipe one movie from existence, what would you choose?

When you're in charge of any kind of a business, from a massive corporation to a lemonade stand, you pay your people before you pay yourself. The buck stops with you, and it's supposed to land on your desk after everybody else gets theirs. I mangled that metaphor but also I don't care
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

As it’s Angela Lansbury’s centenary, it’s worth giving this another airing:
One of the best exchanges I’ve ever seen on social media was when Lt. Cmndr Data and Bert the Chimney Sweep got into a rumble over Angela Lansbury.
