What made more than 50% overall and almost 9% over the next highest vote-getter in this three-way race modest?? Did it blush when we looked at it directly? Did it wear a demure costume?

I've been laid up this week with COVID at an auspicious time. My one vaccine booster was in early 2022 when my job required it. I thought: many people were getting infected despite vaccination and I'd already had COVID, so why bother? I'll tell you why: these symptoms are brutal for brain and body.

What I saw at immigration court this morning is unfathomably cruel.

The judge dismissed several cases—including that of a dad and his 2-yr-old son. Now subject to expedited removal, he expected to be arrested by ICE outside. Luckily they made it home.

We can't be a city that tears families apart.

have a sudden craving for a bowl of chili/cornbread from Angelica Kitchen, which has now been closed for seven years. can anyone recommend a hippie vegetarian restaurant in the five boroughs? something with a lot of seitan on the menu, with nothing sleek about it?

ProPublica spoke with 135 people who had experienced "sweeps" of homeless encampments. We also distributed notecards so people could write about it in their own words.

More than 146,000 New York City students were homeless at some point during the last school year — an increase of 23% from the year before. That’s one in eight students.
