NEW: Dr. Oz is quite literally telling his federal employees to eat less.

“You don't have to try every cookie on the holiday table,” wrote Mehmet Oz in an email to all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services employees.

Good morning and happy #artadventcalendar day 4! A throwback to my earliest attempts at collage, when I was using very little color.

You've just died.

The 6th picture in your phone gallery is what killed you.

It’s hard to imagine exactly how Buddy Cianci’s mayoral election crosstabs from an Italian-only sample could kill me, but I suppose it’s possible…

One of the stupider hills I will nonetheless die on is that I don’t read any book with a title that describes a grown woman 1) as a “girl” or 2) in terms of her relationship to a man. The Girl Who Ran or The Clockmaker’s Daughter or The Tailor’s Wife or The Girl on the Train.

Why so many?

new paper by Sean Westwood:

With current technology, it is impossible to tell whether survey respondents are real or bots. Among other things, makes it easy for bad actors to manipulate outcomes. No good news here for the future of online-based survey research
