Huh, I never introduced myself on here.

My name is Katherine! Once upon a time, I made lots of classical music and vaporwave. I now make music way slower than I used to, but the engine is still going! I also do music engraving and print sheet music.

Images are nice, so here are some album covers!

This Trans Day of Remembrance, my heart hurts thinking of all the people we couldn't carry through to the other side of this moment in history.

Amidst all the fighting we've done for our community, amidst the unshakeable belief that we will win in the end, grief still takes hold.

Being a trans man really is an… exceptionally lonely existence, at times.

It’s not talked about often, but my experience with it is weirdly similar to my experience being mixed race…? Lemme elaborate:

When you’re mixed, there’s something you typically experience growing up, which is that neither

Trans rights is a winning platform. Pro immigration is a winning platform. Taxing the rich is a winning platform. Affordable housing is a winning platform. Free childcare is a winning platform. Hating Andrew Cuomo is a winning platform. SOCIALISM IS A WINNING PLATFORM

There’s no reason ever again for any Democrat to suggest moderating on trans rights. There was never a moral reason but now there’s no political reason either.

Somebody tell Gavin Newsom and Pete Buttigieg. it’s joe-ver.

This needs more attention: Zohran SPLIT the straights with Cuomo. ALL of his margin was from LGBTQ+ voters. Every Dem who ever said “we should abandon the transes” needs this shoved down their fucking throat with a ramrod.

TFW you burned a century’s worth of societal antibodies against socialism to kick girls out of your Halo lobby only for half the boys in it to become girls anyway.
I looked at Twitter. The global online right is in a state of profound despair over Mamdani's victory.

Because it’s cis kids.
The NHS will quite casually give cis kids whatever treatment they need, even PBs👇
No trials. No concerns about side effects. No moral panic.

I haven't seen people here mention this letter from the mayor of Illinois' 2nd-largest city (Aurora, 40+% Latino)

to the Aurora Police

following egregious attacks by immigration in Aurora and related protests

So here it is!

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Sometimes I see a stranger who is so utterly straight, so utterly cis, so utterly unthinkingly and comfortably normal, I get a legit fear reaction

I'm sure that's not a sign of anything worrisome

Hey, so, survivor of CSAM (child sexual abuse material) here—and a global survivor advocate, including policy work!

Fictional material is not illegal. That’s actually why deepfakes are such a big issue for survivors too.

That said, actual art should *not* be made illegal. Why? (Con’t)
I must have missed the news where the author, writers, actors, and everyone involved in things like Game of Thrones, Euphoria, millions of other works etc. were all jailed

After several attempts at disorganized self-study since high school, I think I've finally managed to scrounge up the motivation and discipline to actually study Japanese.

I always taught this to my music students and I tell people who accuse me of being talented that all I have over them is having been an obsessive little kid who would rather play piano than develop social skills. I never grew out of my obsession with music - that "talent" is just effort over time.
I'll say it once and I'll say it again. If you think artists are just "naturally talented", you're deeply wrong. The only difference between you and us is that we kept trying when it didn't come out like we hoped.
You can always make art yourself. There's no bad time to start, you can start now.

Hey! This ACLU petition to stop payment processors like Visa and Mastercard from censoring content across the internet is getting SO close to the signature goal!!! action.aclu.org/petition/mas... If you live in the USA, please take a moment to sign!
Mastercard: Sex Work is Work. End Your Unjust Policy.
Mastercard's new policy unfairly targets the adult content industry, making sex workers more vulnerable, especially Black trans women. It must be stopped.
