It’s okay for alt text to feel awkward, but it can help to imagine describing your art to a friend who can’t see it! Just colors, figures, actions/scene, any specific relevant details is plenty!

Yeah, I definitely agree with that being a reason why. But, even with that, it’s not worth compromising visibility. Plus, one minute is fine even in these big shares (I’ve seen and been in many since bsky’s start!). Either way, a lot of artists here don’t repost things without alt text either.
