Songbird, not singing #birdoftheday #birds
Pine warbler on the sidewalk, seen from a very low angle. His body points toward the camera so that his tail is quite foreshortened, but his head is turned to the right so we get a nice profile. This small perching bird is nearly all yellow, but sports some faint dark streaks across his belly and white down near his legs. His head also has some deep green tones blended with the yellow. You can just see the edge of his wings, which appear dark gray in this photo. The background is soft unfocused light grays and browns.

Bathing American Robins are always a joy to behold. #birds 🌿

First horned larks on camera. Have seen and heard a couple of times but not when I had a camera ready. #birding #birdphotography. There were a bunch of snow buntings too that were spooked by some dogs so no pics but a NJ first for me.
