Someone finally spelled it out in a Letter to the Editor, hell yes. I am a little concerned bc this landlord kid has a lot of signs out there.
Gotta tell my neighbors their real estate agent apparently hates them

Read these takeaways from an interview with the Strib CEO, and then head to @racketmn.com and click “subscribe”!!!!
Takeaways from the @startribune.com CEO Steve Grove interview at the Westminster Town Hall Forum tonight.
When I had a lot of free working hours while anticipating a layoff, I used a seam ripper to undo the company logo embroidered into an otherwise fine sweater. No one ever inquired what I was doing but if they had, I was prepared to say I was "working on the brand."
What's everybody supposed to do between now and Tuesday?
Everything feels bad but you can set up a standing donation to your local food shelf. Also find and fulfill their non-food asks. I never feel more like a Disney fairy than when I order Costco wool socks to be delivered to mine.
I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.
Had to do a CTRL+F to make sure someone had said wagon wheel. 👍

Political parties must shift immediately and dramatically to the left to avoid alienating these frustrated and abandoned young women. Am I doing this right?
Our recent poll found that women 28 and younger skew substantially more left than the national average. Nearly 80 percent of Gen Z women want abortion to be legal and seven in 10 want gender-affirming care to be accessible for trans adults.
Gen Z women are the most liberal group in the country

The Knollwood hack is parking in the back and walking through the open air corridor by TJ Maxx or the enclosed hall by the med supply place! Like Costco, not really saving steps but definitely saving sanity.
The hack, of course, is entering via the Home Depot parking lot from the southwest. Only chumps turn directly into the Costco lot from Gamble Drive.

I should gatekeep this but there's enough cruelty in the world already. If anyone likes this I will also share the Knollwood hack.
First and foremost, you must release the idea of getting a "good" parking spot. We are simply maintaining our dignity as we get "a" spot. Jockeying for position... that way madness lies.
The Tiktok realtor finally did St. Louis Park and naturally the top point of discussion is the hellscape of the Costco parking lot. As a local I will once again share How It's Done.
And you don’t want to turn off alerts bc what if there’s an emergency but 90% of the alerts are like “Tuesday’s lunch will be a chickwich 👍”
My daughter’s friend dropped out so I had to take her place for the beading store reservation

A billion dollars is the socio-political equivalent of a loose nuke, and we should work as ruthlessly and diligently to prevent the acquisition of the former as we do the latter.
“The problem with billionaires isn’t that they’re hoarding money that would otherwise pay for a Scandinavian social utopia. It’s that their money has become a source of wildly distorted political power that allows a few men with extremist views to wreak havoc on the rest of us.”

I am old enough to remember when John Thune unseated Tom Daschle on the message that Daschle was too much of a Washington insider and put his party before his duty to the state
Lemme guess. He's gonna show it to us in two weeks. Just like last time. He was asked over and over, and the answer was always the same: two weeks.

I wish a journalist would ask this of Mr. Thune, or anyone else who tells us that Trump has a plan to overhaul the ACA: "Do you think we're stupid?
Thune: "The president would like to overhaul Obamacare and give people health insurance that is higher quality and more affordable."
It is still dahlia season.

My daughter @madepn.bsky.social has invented a great scale for the triviality - importance spectrum. It goes from “nothing burger” to “everything bagel”.

I doff my hat in tribute to genius.
You have to be so so intentional about maintaining your friendships and communities, especially as people in your circle get married and have kids. If I could do it over I would beg all my kickball friends to buy duplexes in the same neighborhood. Support is worth more than square footage.
Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?
Snowplow naming contests are over; we have all had our fun naming the snowplows.
I must co-sign the review from Tara Giancaspro, highlighted by @hunterh.bsky.social: “This is an album for women who watch Mr. Beast videos with their boyfriends.”

Can’t decide whether these Statue of Liberty rubber chickens that say “squeeze me to hear me scream” are a little too on-the-nose for these times or if they’re perfect
I keep getting political donation requests addressed to “Kather” which is an absolutely accurséd and nonexistent abbreviation of Katherine
If I had recently written a widely panned column in the paper of record and then Ta-Nehisi Coates was like yeah we should have a public discussion I would vanish into the woods
