Not disputing this, but timely: just saw some truly clever band names for an all ages punk show on a lamppost flyer.

Though alongside the old school xerox-collage design I think it had a QR code!
If you go through your city on Google maps, and then scroll through the years. The one major thing you’ll notice is that there’s no posters or flyers for gigs pasted on walls and lampposts anymore

My mom and my aunts sewed a panel for my uncle when he died. I've had the chance to see parts of the quilt in person, the most recently was in Toronto in 2006, and it is such a beautiful tribute, seeing the art and love that surrounded each person, which is what also makes it so devastating.

A Vermont elementary school located a missing second grader and his mother in a Texas ICE detention center because DHS didn't inform the father.

Middle came home from school excited, saying a teacher mentioned the possibility of snow tonight.

The forecast says, "no way. All rain."

But then we saw this... a moon ring.

So, I guess we'll know by morning who is right! ❄️ 🌧️

You won't commission an Etsy witch cause "it's silly", but you'll decorate a dead tree inside your house with lights and ornamental animals? Okay. Guess you hate women in the workforce.

DID YOU SEE THIS AWFUL THING THIS AWFUL MAN SAID

HOW ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE GUY, ISN'T IT HE TERRIBLE

OK, so... why are you his street team? Why are you signal-boosting?
The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

It's true! Reach out to artists! Write little reviews of the music you buy on Bandcamp & Ampwall! Share the stuff you're listening to with others! Celebrate the human who created the art!
Tell the artists you love that you love them. It means so much!
Two different people contacted me lately to say how much they've enjoyed this album of mine... audioobscura.bandcamp.com/album/as-lon...
Taking time to tell someone how much they like an album means a lot. I'm particularly proud of this album, it's some of the most beautiful music I've made.

"It's not art without somebody" !!
every day the chances of a reality where i am in the minority in thinking that AI has no place in the arts increases - 40% would not skip a song even knowing it was made entirely with AI?!

there is a world where you cant tell the difference, but youre being deceived; it's not art without somebody
97 percent of people struggle to identify AI music, but it’s not as bad as it seems

This is one of the reasons why I balk at the idea that men are afraid to be perceived as abusive. In many cases, that perception is actually key to their success, because other people strive to make excuses for their behavior, deny it, redeem them, and elevate them in the process.

Years ago, my colleagues at Business Insider and I tracked YouTuber “cancellation” arcs. What we found is that for many entertainers, “cancellation” actually sets the stage for a redemption arc, one that can raise their profile higher than ever. It wasn’t career-ending. It was fuel.
