AI detectors are the new snake oil, tbh i'm appalled that universities and other institutions buy into them. I can't imagine how bad students have it if everything they write creates these false positives.

Took 3 days but I've worked thru my entire manuscript. I've probably made close to a thousand notes & corrections-ouch! This was an emotional roller coaster of hating my book, loving it, & hating it again, but ending w/ a firece resolve to make it the best book I can!📖

It's finally here! After forcing myself to take a month break, I am ready to jump on my manuscript and start dev editing! I ordered a physical draft to help create distance between myself and the work, should be fun to rip it to shreds

Ordered a copy of my scfi-romance novel just for me thru Lulu, Cover art and design from GetCovers (only teasing it for now), and formatted with scrivener to practice going thru the whole process. I can't wait to mark it up and paper it in post it notes. So estatic I have gotten this far!
Strange Salvage will hopefully be completed in spring 2026.

My favs this year have been The Bobiverse books, Mickey 7, and MurderBot Diaries. Just started Fortune's Pawn. I still need to finish, A Long Way to a small Angry Planet. I think I like a little humour in my dystopia scifi 😄 but I haven't any read classic SF in years.

Ha, trust me, I've been warned 😅 also that Foundation was a bit more cerebral and slow than anything published today. But his robot books are pretty much a cornerstone in sci-fi, I feel like I got to dabble in his works 😉.

Took a trip to the retro scifi book store decided to get some classics to read. 📚🚀 I loved the Foundation show, now I want to compare to Asimov's original work.

Totally agree, I do love the exploration and colonisation beats (that's a fantasy of mine) and the general optimism that humanity endures. But the battle for the Pavs and Homer's fate hit hard. I get invested in all the Bobs.

Fun fact: The ship’s official name is the Commodore. Its gaudy colors, and over-the-top decadence match the wild energy of Ragnarok perfectly. Is it practical? No Clue. Do I want to cruise the galaxy on it anyway? 100% preferably with a cocktail in hand 🍹✨
