You don’t think a true progressive could hire them thinking “if they made fetterman look progressive they’ll do great for me cause I am the real deal?”

I’m very interested to know if Platner is not who people think he is, but I don’t think this is evidence of anything other than him wanting to win.

For the 13th of #arachtober a wee pseudoscorpion, the only one I’ve ever seen (from 2020 on compost bin).

That was a good olloclip clip-on macro lens. Still have the lens, might try to find an old iPhone (SE IIRC) to use it with.

Fuzzy longhorn bee (Melissodes druriellus I think) perched on the yellow center of a small aster with white petals radiating outwards. She has a massive fluff of yellow pollen on rear leg, black furry abdomen with light hair bands, tan/golden hair on thorax and face, slightly blue tinged eye.

Yellow-collared scape moth (Cisseps fulvicollis), an insect with long dark brown solid wings partly splayed, dark body, orange head and collar, dark eyes and antennae, on a little white flower. Might just be pausing on the way to a goldenrod which is where these are usually seen.

Hoverfly (probably genus Eupeodes) on a small aster. Fly has transparent wings with dark veins, yellow and black bands on abdomen, bronze metallic thorax with a fringe of yellow hairs on the side, large dark eyes, white face, stubby dark antennae with a thin hairlike protrusion on each.

Leggy grass spider, genus Agelenopsis, for twelfth of #arachtober. I found her in the watering can I was about to fill, dumped her out and she ran into the grass. Starting to notice spider anatomy more- the twin appendages at end of abdomen are spinnerets for weaving sheet webs. #inverts #macro

Spider against blades of grass. Spider is reddish-brown and tan with long legs. Head and abdomen about the same length, head is wider, both are elongated. Two long sharp-looking appendages out the back of the abdomen.
