The Japanese make their first move! And it’s a punchy one! An ambush bunker with a MMG reveals itself on the slope of the hill. Cleverly positioned to cover the paddy fields and across the face of the jungle covered hill, it opens fire on the Gurkha section. Only one shock though!!!

A fairly aggressive Brit patrol phase leaves the chung in their control, an excellent forming up point. Brit forces are a recce patrol consisting of a Gurkha plt, universal carriers and a MMG. The Japanese are deep in their bunkers waiting though… #spreadthelard #15mm #wargaming

Played a Sharp Practice 2 game today. Portuguese v French somewhere in Spain.

Ran out of time to complete but it could’ve gone either way if we carried on.

Good fun and good company with a rather nice pub lunch in between 😁

Portuguese cavalry make a push beside the olive grove with French infantry in the distant background and a little shed/lean to front left.

Portuguese Cacadores cross the river to try and fend off the French voltiguers in the olive grove on the far right (they failed 😬). The river runes through the centre of the shot, bottom to top

The Portuguese gun takes a shot at the French infantry in the distance causing some damage but not enough to stop those advance across the bridge. Orange grove back left and river on the extreme right.

I think "Infamy Infamy" is a bit of a forgotten Lard title and that seems like a shame. So with one group of table standard Romans done I'm on my way to ancient Briton.
I've only had this waiting in the wings since lockdown but nevertheless I think these models have matured enough to paint.

Yeah, not my experience at all. I think they are an excellent set with great depth. There is definitely complexities in both sides and I wouldnt have said they lacked play testing or were misshapen. I found they worked really well and gave an exciting challenge and battle.
