If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Helpful thread for people interested in the business of publishing tabletop RPGs.
So as is a common Evil Hat practice, Fred has been posting number for our crowdfunding budgets, and one item that has merited some discussion is that we crunch out all of the numbers, but then set a goal for the crowdfunding where we loose money. Key post here: bsky.app/profile/dead...
I've got spreadsheet math I use to plug this into, along with the actual overall performance of the campaign and all incurred and expected project costs, to keep a running sense of how our expenditure level is evolving vs the revenue coming in.

Podcasts and "deep dive" media will try to convince you that you *now* know things, thanks to them.

A PhD, especially one with archival, observational, or observational components, will definitely convince you that you know next to nothing, thanks to the available resources & one's predecessors.

Took the kiddo on her first ever roller coaster this weekend.

Immediately after: “I did NOT like that.”

10 minutes later: “I’d do that again.”

5 minutes later, seeing a coaster that goes upside down: “I wanna do THAT.”

But the park was closing. Hopefully she’s tall enough for it next year. ❤️
