Even if they miraculously miss every square on every user’s personal shady practices bingo card—eg, no training AI on user data—it seems more than a little risky to bet the entire monetization strategy on AI when they are not an AI company, and AI is still … this.

I haven’t had a chance to dig into the details yet, but my gut tells reaction is that there’s no way this pricing model can end well.

Also, the article’s framing of “writer’s block” as holding back not-yet-writers from producing breakout hits feels … odd to me? Maybe a stretch, but reminds me of how some people act like, “Maybe I’LL be a billionaire someday, so let’s keep taxes low.”

Just make sure it’s obvious. One of my Wastoid players remarked this week she’s amazed we played a year without calling attention to the ability scores spelling out the name of the game. My fault for taking so long to get it into the character spreadsheet *just right.*
