I stopped at Target for a couple things and $1 slime caught my eye, Sagan is loving it …I still haven’t found anything quite like Mattel Slime or Ectoplasm or Ooze but for only $1 👍👍
The final stretch goal remains with only TWO days left to raise an additional $4500, unlocking the “Lore/Worldbuilding Section. An extra section written from the perspective of a certain character about the current state of Earth and the things that call it home.” …it’ll still be great without but 🥺

This is such a good story. Since I have all of the zines (starting with the miscolored 1st print of #1) I was going to pass on this hardcover collection but I really don’t want to miss out on the added bits…

Drew Struzan 1947-2025

The iconic images of Star Wars, the Muppets, Back to the Future, etc… Drew had the ability to create posters every bit as engaging and entertaining as the film he was depicting …although occasionally he may have oversold the movie a bit. Thanks for so much inspiration Drew!
Hickman’s Krakoa Era was the most interesting thing to happen these past decades but editorial couldn’t help themselves and following his departure, the X-Office released some of the worst comics I have ever purchased. What began with much excitement concluded with the final X books I’ll ever buy.
The “bone claws” retcon that was the shocking reveal during Fatal Attractions forever ruined Wolverine. EVERYTHING since that’s expanded on his origin has been trash and only made him worse.
The X-books ended with Claremont’s run, everything since has been fanfic of mostly poor quality. If anyone should be jailed it’s Bob Harras.
What's an opinion about X-Men that'll get you sent to jail? Is Jean really interesting or really boring? Should Logan have stayed dead? Do you think a certain x-mens outfit is positively horrendous even though people seem to love it?

The Brood Saga is better than Dark Phoenix imo 🤷
I love that this is being made and that it’s not just another emulator in housing that looks like the thing, but it IS the thing and it can connect to old floppy drives and play cartridges and do everything your old Commodore could, because it is a C64 …and I don’t “need” one… but kinda really I do.

after the PS3 and WiiU, I think I’m done. I have zero interest in a new PS/XBox and although the Switch ended up having a lot of great games, instead of the Switch 2 I went with a Steam Deck and couldn’t be happier. Whether or not it’s from Valve, a miniPC Steam Machine for my TV is all I want.
Also, I am not one to preorder digital releases (e.g. I did with No Man’s Sky and it’s taken me until this year to finally play it) and typically I’ll wait for the inevitable sale pricing, however, seeing that one of Enderal’s devs is working on a remake of Gothic - I will be playing that on Day 1
That aside, I’d still put Enderal over my Elder Scrolls experiences and while I don’t expect it to surpass Tainted Grail, it’s FREE (if you already own Skyrim SE) and had I paid $30+ I’d still be recommending it. I’m very impressed.
At times the game can feel less open than Skyrim and also a bit clunky. One complaint is that while the landscapes look great, things can be difficult to spot in the dense foliage so there’ve been some “wtf is attacking me?!” moments and somehow with all the plant life, there’s much less to forage
Enderal is a FREE fan-made “mod” for Skyrim that tells its own story and has a very different feel from the Elder Scrolls games. I’m 30 or so hours in and I feel that I can safely say that I am mostly enjoying it more than I ever did Skyrim. It’s incredibly impressive what this small team has done.
After losing interest in my Skyrim replay, instead of playing more of the same with the Oblivion Remaster I decided to try Tainted Grail: the Fall of Avalon and fell in love with the game. Following its completion I’d been playing No Man’s Sky but then I discovered this…
Not long ago there was a fan poll to gauge how collectors are feeling about the crossovers and which (if any) should be next. I was happy to see that most others also wanted the return of Blackstar. I had several and they became part of my MOTU playtime, Origins won’t feel complete without them
The crossover with Thundercats has also been cool. I appreciate that the barbarian costume bits can be removed leaving classic cats perfectly scaled with MOTU. I do hope they there’s still a bit more to come as a pack with WilyKit & WilyKat + Snarf is needed and at least several of the Mutants.
Anyway, a hero is really only as great as the challenges they must overcome and the Horde were next level baddies. However, while Catra and several others were made for the dress-up doll She-Ra line, neither that or MOTU got a Shadow Weaver and so my Evil Horde never had its most sinister member.
While She-Ra, Bow, and Swiftwind are all great, Shadow Weaver was my #1 most wanted figure. I loved the addition of the Horde. As a little kid, good guys vs bad guys is what you’re presented but this was a third faction. Sure, they were “Evil” but they didn’t just fight He-Man but also Skeletor.
In contrast to Hasbro’s latest GI Joe release, Mattel’s newest additions to the Masters of the Universe Origins line are outstanding! These are all characters that I wish I had 40 years ago and nothing disappoints.
The original Striker was the iconic small vehicle, a great drive-over-everything toy but this doesn’t capture the look and worse, it isn’t really something that my kid and I can play with in the yard. I get this “toy” is made for middle aged collectors but still…
