“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around and don’t let anybody tell you different.” — Vonnegut
If it wasn’t already bad enough that this administration continues to celebrate extrajudicial killings that have received bipartisan and global condemnation, to then respond to serious allegations with shamelessly unrepentant gleeful trolling while making use of a children’s book character… vile

aside from waiting on several 80s versions of X-Men, more of these is all I want from Legends.

My books are kept like a library but comics are tricky… My solution is groups: the classics, indie, manga, and artist editions are alphabetized by author/creator. The periodicals and anthologies by title. The more mainstream/genre stuff is sorted by publisher and then alphabetically by series/title

I am and I’ve met Bob via his record store in Dubuque but I don’t think I’ve seen him perform …I used to go to so many shows, but after leaving Iowa City for an affordable house in Cedar Rapids (great pizza but no live music) everything is a drive and too late, so I don’t get out much.

the Sabbath set could have been longer, having only played 10 songs but it was a long loud day so I didn’t really mind. Type O Negative was the other band I was excited to see and they didn’t disappoint but aside from a couple others I wasn’t really a fan of the rest of the lineup. Still a great day

Black Sabbath’s reunion was the big deal but this was also part of Marilyn Manson’s Dead To The World tour and so we were greeted by dozens of protesting Christians. MM’s show was definitely the highlight of the day but I felt fortunate then seeing Ozzy and BS back together, especially so now

Texas, that makes the 4-5 hours from Iowa seem like nothing. Ozzfest was great. Three of us in my Ford Escort wagon driving through the night and then waking to a cop tapping the window just after dawn ruining our brief parking lot nap. Diner breakfast and then so much metal 🤘
