Harper and Poilievre aren't Conservatives. They were and still are the old Reform Party. They don't hold the values of the former Conservative Party. They are fringe people. Harper did a better job of toning down the fringe and acting somewhat moderate for elections. Poilievre doesn't bother.

IMO, It would have to be someone currently not in politics... There are very few people in politics in the party that have any widespread public support who show any signs of having any legit plan. This is the problem with silencing MPs, and having a script. No future party development.

Getting rid of social programs doesn't address those issues at all and makes them much worse. Questioning birthright citizenship also does absolutely nothing to help these issues, it's nothing but scapegoating people you don't want to deal with.

Your being disingenious. We had significantly more crime in the 1990s. It went to all time lows and increased a bit post pandemic, and is decreasing again.
Canada's life expectancy is higher than countries without social programs, and those countries are facing the same wait times. Try again.

Getting rid of social programs increases crime and poverty. It also increase disease and preventable deaths. It's literally one of the worst ideas anyone can propose for managing a community.

Immigrants are far less likely to use our social programs, and generally are the ones helpibg pay for them without using them.
