Tip for any ambitious capitalist out there. You know what there’s going to be an ENORMOUS market for in the near future? Authentic human expression. Most normal people fucking hate AI slop and there’s already emerging a significant backlash against it.
According to Hiatus Kaiyote bassist Paul Bender, this AI scam problem is “symbolic of how little these tech people give a fuck about actual music and the people who make it.”
Why Is It So Easy to Flood Streaming With AI Slop?
And what the hell is Operation Clown Dump?

On September 4, 1866, President Andrew Johnson set the precedent for Trump’s latest outrage: In Cleveland, Ohio, Johnson called those who opposed his plan for reversing the Union’s Civil War victory (by reinstating and nationalizing the Confederacy) “traitors” and called for them to be hanged.

The bill last numbered H.R. 9495 would empower the Treasury Secretary to designate any nonprofit the Secretary wishes to kill a “terrorist supporting organization” and revoke the tax-exempt status on which it depends for survival. Unconstitutional but lethal in the harm it would do while in force.

Bad news! Even if the main target seems to be federal employees, rather than researchers of political extremism, this is chilling for the latter too.
Senators Want Extremism Researchers to Surrender Documents Linked to Right-Wing Grudges
The Senate homeland security committee's chair has asked researchers to turn over troves of documents related to the January 6 attack, vaccines, and more, according to a letter reviewed by WIRED.

Don’t. Print. Lies. In. The. Newspapers.

People believe & say this, yes. All the sentiment polls show it. And yet, all the inflation-adjusted wage, income & consumption data & revealed preferences on travel, retail, etc., strongly suggest otherwise. Just write what is actually true & you can prove.

Autism is only a “problem” because an ableist, neurotypical society refuses to make accommodations to enable neurodivergent people to thrive. We need to problematize the eugenicist “Should autistics exist?” assumptions promoted by the CDC under RFK Jr, not just that anti-vaxxism is factually wrong.
💯

I am autistic and proud. I take the position that even if vaccines *did* cause autism, we should encourage their use anyway b/c autism is not enough of a “problem” to throw away the public health benefits of keeping kids safe from easily preventable childhood diseases.
RFK Jr’s CDC posting lies about vaccines and autism on their website isn’t just misinformation, it’s intentionally weaponized eugenicist rhetoric that will kill people.

I know nothing about gaming. But I know evil when I see it.
