Mostly dumb movie stuff, some dumb TV stuff too

Not sure I’ve ever felt a more piercing sense of incandescent rage in my life than the moment during my Wake Up Dead Man screening tonight when someone from the back yelled “SIX SEVEN” in the middle of a Blanc exposition dump.

This really goes hand-in-hand with Paramount’s decision to also greenlight the Depp Christmas Carol movie, actively working to make “comeback”s happen for people that were not only “cancelled” but actively awful to work with in their own ways.
Rush Hour 4 is reportedly a go at Paramount – after Trump intervened on behalf of the movie.

Catching up on The Chair Company, four episodes in. Really love how it captures that feeling in a dream where you’re openly doing insane stuff yet the world right around you barely seems to notice.

From a strictly financial and audience reception perspective, it's kind of staggering how much the decision to split this into two movies paid off, far more than anyone could have dare predicted.
‘WICKED: FOR GOOD’, starring Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande, debuts with an A on CinemaScore.

Enjoyed the bit in Wicked For Good where, during a spell, Nessa's silver slippers actually do turn a slight shade of ruby for 5-10 seconds, kinda like when a podcast can only play a few seconds of a copyrighted song to avoid getting DMCA'ed.

The Predator franchise has always been a couple tiers below the Alien franchise financially - the original Predator is still the only solo installment that adjusts above $100M, a mark most Alien movies adjust way above. So Badlands opening within $2M of Romulus's opening is mighty impressive.
Disney / 20th Century's Predator: Badlands debuted with an estimated $40.0M domestically this weekend (from 3,725 locations).
