India in the best two games of the tournament so far and have lost them both. Going to be under a fair bit of pressure now for the rest of the tournament 🏏

Top individual scores in the World Cup so far for NSB, Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Ash Gardner and Sophie Devine. Cream already rising to the top 🏏

Julius Caesar conquered Gaul in 51 BC and died in 44 BC, therefore all of Asterix's adventures took place over the course of less than seven years, probably much less since Asterix's chieftain was at the battle of Alesia, were it is probable Asterix and Obelix's fathers died. In this essay, I will

She went off with significantly less drama with no stretcher needed, but I suspect knowing Perry that doesn’t mean it’s anything other than quite bad as she isn’t one for leaving the crease unnecessarily.

Just noticed that John Campbell has got some runs for West Indies against India in the second innings so I’m going to just assume that Delhi is an absolute road this test match 🏏

I’d have likely taken a point away at Palace before the game especially after the disappointment against Charlton last week, but in the end I’d say that was the lasses best performance of the season and with the chances we created we should probably have won that #SAFC

That’s the most entertaining half of football I’ve seen so far this season in WSL2 watching the lasses. Chances at both ends. Palace a definite threat, but we should really have been back in front with that Scarr chance. We will cause problems for most sides if we keep this attack fit #SAFC

I can see a slight flaw in that plan currently

Alana King not having bowled at all yet given the match situation seems…odd 🏏

Good to see Eleanor Dale back in the starting line-up for the lasses. Hopefully she can get back up to speed quickly as I think we are a different side when she is fit and firing even taking into account what a good job Emily Scarr has done centrally this season #SAFC

Usual Sunday jazzy pick. One of those that even if you don’t listen to jazz you’ll very likely have heard.

Day 12 of #TheTwen2ie5

Got to know Rianne’s work from her team up with Paul Heaton and immediately loved it. Looking forward to her first full solo album arriving next week. This is from her earlier EP and it’s great.

RIP Diane Keaton. A brilliantly original, unique, and spellbinding talent.

Pretty comfortable win for England in the end. Not sure we’ve learned much about them for the rest of the tournament though as I think we were already fairly confident that Nat and Sophie were quite good 🏏

Can’t believe that painting in the attic is already looking another year older.

Linsey Smith out in the middle for England at No.10, which makes her the first left-handed batter to face a ball at a World Cup for England Women since Lydia Greenway in 2013.

By ending 5*, she becomes England's fifth-highest left-handed run-scorer at Women's World Cups, ever.

I think you’d have to put the drop of NSB down in the costly category 🏏

The new process for the DRS system with the third umpire coming in to say “we have new information” was giving these vibes 🏏

Got to admire Sri Lanka’s commitment to terrible LBW reviews 🏏

Pick for today. Loved Fickle Friends’ first album and I’m delighted that while it took a while they are back now. This is their latest.

ALVILDA are one of my favourite recent discoveries. Brilliantly catchy guitar records of which this is a banging example.

You’ve got to admire Great! TV’s commitment to removing any meaning from the word ‘New’
TV listing stating the channel has New: Rising Damp and Rumpole. Also ‘New’ on the channel today are Dear John, Home to Roost and Reggie Perrin to name but a few.

I’m absolutely full of cold today so I’m picking an 80s banger to cheer myself up.

⭐️ 11 Points ⭐️

Final bonus points from me. I’m aware picking Houdini as my favourite Dua Lipa song may be controversial, but I believe what I believe. There’s plenty more to come from her in my list.
