I enjoy the "we're more productive in-office" takes from people whose best idea for running distributed teams is the weekly status meeting where everyone sits zoned out on mute for an hour aside from the 30 seconds where they give their own update to an indifferent audience

In 48 other states, new moms have access to Medicaid for up to one year after they give birth. Not in Wisconsin.

There, the limit remains two months. And it’s only because of one man: Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.

This is insane. Any material a prof thinks is necessary but isn’t for formal licensing has to get the signoff of the chair, then dean, then provost?

This is an absolutely mockery of academic freedom.

I feel like Texas Tech HAS to lose its accreditation for this, no? It’s preposterous.
TX Tech has a flow chat for guidance on what can be taught in the university system. Two things:
1. Very little content seems to be permitted. This is partisan control of the curriculum.
2. I would not enjoy teaching under these conditions, but I really would not want to be a Chair or Dean.

Racism doesn't just move competent Black people out of jobs. It moves competent white people out of those jobs too.🤷🏿‍♂️

(But no, Kelly will not be president, unless he can get there without the Black vote, which he can't. "Tough on crime" is just a different type of racism. I said what I said.)
Kelly: He runs around on stage talking about lethality and the warrior ethos.. That’s not the message that should be coming from the Secretary of Defense… He runs around on a stage like he’s a 12 year old playing army. It’s embarrassing.

The DJT administration fired 8 immigration judges in NYC today.

All the judges were dismissed from the immigration court’s offices at 26 Federal Plaza, a building that houses the NYC headquarters ICE and has become the epicenter of migrant arrests in the city.

The DHS side is just relentless hate from Noem.

And it's coming as the clock ticks down on the deadline for her declaration in Boasberg's contempt inquiry.

I'm not certain what's in Noem's mind — and don't think I'd want to be — but this timing sure doesn't seem unrelated to me.

The DOD side has gone into full-blown crisis mode, as DOD/Hegseth attempts to both (1) make this all about just the second strike and (2) make Adm. Bradley the scapegoat for the lawlessness that Hegseth, Leavitt, and others have all but bragged about.

What has happened today from both DOD and DHS absolutely is further advancing the position I laid out at Law Dork over the weekend.
The Trump administration's lawlessness is front and center, on multiple fronts
The response to the shooting of two National Guard troops, reporting on the boat-strike murders, and the continued contempt inquiry keep Trump's lawlessness in the news.
