Imagine being a wrestler who's nearing retirement and choosing WWE as the place to end your career, AFTER seeing what they've done to arguably rhe biggest star they've ever produced.
Think they're going to do better by AJ Styles or Jericho, or anyone else? Absolutely not.

It's crazy that the biggest star of a generation, one that has become, if not a Rock level film star, a mid-level mainstream one, says to WWE "I'd like to take a year off and do a 200 date retirement tour for you" and the response is "There's not enough money in that for us."
There's something so sad to me about the two biggest promotions in the world becoming solely TV products. The idea of doing the magic of live performances for as many people as possible as often as possible is now seen as a financial liability.
