“Worst of the Year” lists are less about informing readers what art the would-be tastemaker thinks is “not good” (entirely subjective) and more about personal self-aggrandizement: “Look how much smarter I am than the artist or the peons who enjoy their work”. Also, snarky wordplay. No thank you.
Your annual reminder that “worst of the year” lists are hacky bullshit.

I don’t care if it’s those two guys at Variety, or some underpaid kid at a clickbait racket — they’re bad and embarrassing. Don’t write them, *especially* if you’re someone who complains about the tone of arts/media discourse.

So fucking happy for her. She STOLE the whole movie. 🔥

As for the rest of Hollywood: why the FUCK are you sleeping on Oona Chaplin???

She’s ridiculously talented. She’s fucking GORGEOUS. She‘s even Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter, for god’s sake.

Give her the WORLD, y’all.
Obsessed with everything Oona Chaplin is doing in AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH. She commands the screen & sets it ablaze with fury. Her Varang moves with a mighty understanding of her power & sexuality & has such a dominating presence. I hope she has a role in the rest of the franchise. #FilmSky

I was anticipating Avatar: Fire and Ash mostly for the ethereal Oona Chaplin (and she absolutely stole the show 💖), but I did not anticipate how much I would love the film. 🔥

I think it’s safe to say it’s my favorite of the trilogy & one of the most spectacular theatrical experiences of 2025. 👏👏👏

AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH. These movies kick ass, man. Shots that look impossibly real, like they went to a different world to put it to film. Astounding shit, everything in this looks like you could reach through the screen and touch it. Make all the jokes you want — Big Jim makes movie magic, period

Avatar: Fire and Ash was a great theatrical experience! Narratively sprawling but still emotionally compelling, it's most ambitious of the three films, and definitely the most visually spectacular. The antagonists, especially the mesmerizing Oona Chaplin as Varang, provide some very welcome heat.🔥😈

It’s definitely not perfect but even still, I’d give it 6 stars for its 6th anniversary!

There’s still so much that was also wonderfully done tying everything together that I’ve come back to The Rise of Skywalker the most ever since 2019.

It’s the one Star Wars movie I just can’t stop loving.

Happy 6th anniversary to The Rise of Skywalker!!! I personally love this film. I understand the criticisms. I know it's not perfect. But you know what else wasn't? The prequel trilogy. And yet I love that too. I don't need Star Wars to be absolutely "perfect"

This scene though! 🔥

“A Jedi’s weapon deserves more respect.”

Six years of The Rise of Skywalker means 6 years since the titular return of Luke Skywalker.

Much like with Han, everyone was cheering with excitement when he came on screen.

And his triumphant return meant his TLJ arc came full circle once again here.

WHAT A GAME

Rams-Seahawks was set up to be one of the games of the year, with the #1 seed in the NFC at stake. It lived up to its billing and then some. A fourth quarter comeback, an insane two-point play, ultimately going to OT and it all comes down to the final play. Awesome. Nothing beats great football!

The fact that the Rams didn't even bother trying to get that ball is some absurd fumble recovery craziness.
If this is actually a good 2-point conversion that will be WILD.

Rob Reiner was an acclaimed actor & director but he was also a vocal critic of Trump

He warned the American public that they only had a year to save their democracy

That year is almost up

Honour his legacy by fighting fascism. Fight for democracy. Fight for what’s right. Fight against tyranny.

I’m having a hard time comprehending the news about Rob Reiner. All I can articulate right now is how much I admired him, how much I enjoyed his work, and how thoroughly shocked I am hearing about what happened. My favorite superpower in any human is the art of storytelling. He was a master.
