I've just finished reading @jimpiddock.bsky.social's delightful book Caught With My Pants Down. What a great "must-read" this is! Thoroughly enjoyed, and personally inspired in some small way. We all have stories to tell. Not that anyone cares about mine.

This morning I fished an almost dead baby bird from our pool. I was 99% sure it wouldn’t live. But it finally regained consciousness and wouldn’t leave me for the next 3 hours.
After we walked around the market in the village, it decided it was safe enough off to fly off into the great blue yonder.

One was accidentally life threatening, the other was being recognized as an actor by a nurse while having a rod shoved up your knob with anesthesia.
Neither experience highly recommended.
