I was young, I was reckless, it seemed like it was going to be a thing. We somehow had multiple free previews of the early League Pass and would watch Ralph Lawler and Bill Walton call games. A type of all-in silly fandom I can't really do anymore.
The classic SLAM magazine cover from the early 21st century with the Rock L.A. Familia story profiling the Clippers of Darius Miles, Keyon Dooling, Quentin Richardson, Elton Brand and Lamar Odom.

Nothing wrong with the Brewers bats that five Miiler Lites the night before game 3 can’t fix. Go out there unshaven and asking yourself “Why did I have five Miller Lites?” and you drop into survival mode. See ball, hit ball. No time to think about the pitcher’s repertoire.

(dodgers win two games on the road) hello… human resources???

Brewers should get a run for that, just because.

Catching a foul ball barehanded so impressively the broadcast gives you a slow-motion replay and analysis of your technique and clothes. That guy’s living the dream.

Topps put this card in the 1976 set to celebrate Brewers infielder Kurt Bevacqua's win. Gum bubbles were measured with a Bazooka caliper held by NL umpire Dick Stello. Both Bevacqua and Johnny Oates tried to cheat (candle wax in the mustache and old gum), but host Joe Garagiola ruled that out. (2/2)

Haunchyville. You know it, you love it, you drove out to the edge of a cornfield in 1993 expecting … something.

894, Cold Spring Road, Forest Home. That’s just the immediate area trying to get to/from my mom’s place. What the hell?!

Ran out to Greenfield to help my mom with something before work. How is there this much construction all over town in October?

Every righty is convinced Snell's changeup is actually a fastball. Way out ahead of it, over and over.

I think that ball hit the wall after it came out of his glove.

Priester leaving it up now. No bueno.

And yet, not only an actual NBA player, but a highly useful one that can help swing a game!

When everybody on your baseball team comes to the NLCS dressed like AJ Green (complimentary).

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

Found this in storage on some VHS archives from back in the day. A #Packers - included Diet Coke commercial featuring Elton John and Paula Abdul. Also highlighting former GB linebacker Tim Harris. 📼

I trashed my voice last night. Sound like a dying frog today. You're up next. Shred those vocal chords for the Brew Crew, brother.
