New HAAi album Humanise is excellent. Balances kooky electronica and banging techno at just the right level, with more distinct and emotional vocals than her last LP. Capsule review: blissfully wistful/wistfully blissful. And it's on @muterecords.bsky.social, indisputably the best label there is. 🙂

Ta. It was five years ago now, and she had Alzheimer's for the last 10y of her life, so the end, when it came, was frankly a blessed relief. Been good to finish restoring some of her old 'toons though. I still have quite few more in the loft!

After her passing, I uncovered quite a few more of her #cartoons, although some were in a very poor state. I have been trying to restore some of them. One such is the cartoon frieze that follows here, drawn in 1953 for a party she and her flatmates held shortly after she'd met my Dad...
