Did not expect one of the best paragraphs I’d read about baseball would come from an Irish newspaper

Oh yah noooo. Don’t want to be a bother! Yes we could have said something earlier, but you seemed so busy we didn’t want to be a bother.

But now what was a simple issue has escalated and now will take more of your time, so why are you acting so frustrated when we were just being polite?

Shout out to the lady standing by the side of a busy corner here in our tiny town with a “Release the Epstein files!” sign.

I honk my minivan horn for you.

Some years ago, I worked with a man who had an undergraduate business degree and went on to do an MBA. One time, in the break room, making small talk I asked him if he'd read any good books lately. With zero irony he said "I never read."

I've been thinking about this a lot these days...
Dropped some pumpkin bread off with my kid who lives a the university down the street.

I am hearing praise for my baking. Sure-fired way to get me to send more. #FlatteryGetsYouEverywhere
I’m making pumpkin bread today. House smells amazing.
Happy Halloween. I feel extra spooky this year.
Top costume around here? Over-extended Midwest Dad.
A teacher was trying to find out facts about coconuts (for reasons I don't know). She kept landing on sketch sites and I kept trying to do an info lit lesson. She finally landed on LoC and I said yesssss!

And then I said wait.... I hope we still can trust them. Ugh.

I hate how secular Halloween has gotten with all the candy and hayrides it should be about the liminality of samhain fires
I'd choose the bear, anyone in the Voorhees family, Freddie, Michael........

We're talking about wavelength today, and I couldn't resist the siren song of talking about gamma rays, x-rays, and radiation.

Sorry to the parents who have to talk the precious angel babies down this evening. Your child has a GenX teacher who read too many scary books.
I really like Lana Del Rey's cover of Season of the Witch.

I have kids living with aunts, aunties, grandmas, foster families, step-families, families of their own making without names.

They show up, it's all good.
We are very careful at my school because of complicated home lives.
Welp. I made it this long before my room became a refuge from the cafeteria during lunch for large groups of 12 year olds.

Admin asked us to think of the communities we're in and what makes us enjoy those spaces. I have to say I thought of the educational spaces I've been in where it felt like we were doing really cool things.

I've been really lucky in my life to know so many good people.
