Often, people go hungry because a catastrophic event happens without warning.

A sudden job loss, illness or expense.

We know November SNAP payments are in jeopardy. We have advanced warning.

Those in power need to figure out a way to ensure food gets to the people who need it.

And the complete lack of medical staff in hospitals and clinics wearing masks, at least in the USA, is f*cking EXHAUSTING.
I have to PLEAD with staff to mask around my family member with a 30% ejection fraction and diabetes to wear a mask.
I prefer the 3M Vflex.

Whatever you think of the White House as a building or a symbol, the fact is that the image of it being torn apart on a whim two days after 7 million people hit the streets against autocracy is going to make a HUGE amount of people really, really angry, and that's an energy that should be harnessed.

For anyone not a creator, there are also programs through a number of Chambers of Commerce that allow a lot of small business, sole proprietor businesses to join these pools. As an aside, there is a huge difference between local CoCs and the national CoC that has some negative press for being evil.

If you're a writer/other creator in the United States, consider creating an LLC for your business and then signing up for a local area Chamber of Commerce. Many of them have health insurance plans that pool their members and members of other CoCs to create insurance efficiencies relative to ACA.
