What a luxury it must be to live in a world where the most upsetting thing is a governor accurately comparing today’s state actions to the diary of a girl who had to hide from agents of the state trying to disappear her family for being deemed “illegal.”

This child looks devastated. We know from the courageous actions of his fellow detainees (his “fellow detainees!” He’s five!!!) in Dilley that there are others like him.

I honestly don’t care if maximalist demands are bad strategic politics. We should make them because they’re important moral ones
Just visited with Liam and his father at Dilley detention center. I demanded his release and told him how much his family, his school, and our country loves him and is praying for him.

In Printz v. United States, #SCOTUS held that the Constitution bars the federal government from forcing or otherwise compelling local or state governments to enforce federal law.

The liberal squish who wrote the majority opinion in that case? Justice Antonin Scalia:

I’ll get flack for this but I’m less interested in whatever wrong political calculation someone previously made, and more interested in how they intend to make up for it.

Except Angie Craig.
Gallego supported the Laken-Riley Act and supported renditioning people to a slave camp in El Salvador. He should not be trusted, but the fact that he is talking like this shows he knows which way the wind blows.
Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., rolls out his demand for supporting a DHS appropriations bill: fire Stephen Miller

The Minnesotans involved know it’s not over. Far from it, for them and the country

But in this round, it’s clear. They’re winning, Trump’s sweating

Stephen Miller is the most widely despicable person in modern American political history. This is a man who draws his hair on with a washable marker. His own family disowned him. He drips Nazi.

If the opposition can’t tar and feather him out of power, what are we even doing?

This much is clear: Stephen Miller is in charge. They've shipped off Bovino, they're hanging Noem out to dry, Trump is using slightly conciliatory language...and Miller is still running a blitzkrieg in Minnesota. He, not Trump, is in charge. And he is the one Democrats should fight to remove.
here's a video from this afternoon in Eden Prairie MN of ICE agents camping out as a bus stop.

Again, this is terrorism.

I'd get out of the network television business completely if I were the EIC of CBS News.
Part two of three, with Bari Weiss announcing a CBS News masthead, promoting a new bench of contributors, and promising "to invest even more in revelatory journalism:"

News orgs (not cable news) lack trust because outside groups have spent decades dismissing their work as biased.

A news organization cannot do anything to fix this. In fact, when news organizations try to fix this, they end up reinforcing those biases (i.e., everything Bari is trying to do).
Here, in three posts, are the written remarks by Bari Weiss at today's CBS News town hall meeting. Part one of three:

listen to the whole clip - where he says also that the consequences of speaking all that’s on his mind would be too great for him as a foreigner living in the United States right now

Their working theory based on what they've found:

- There's a gigantic giant reservoir of fresh water under the sea bed off the East Coast
- it stretches from New Jersey to as far north as Maine
- it could potentially supply a city the size of New York City for *800 years*.

GOOD LORD.

Bovino getting pulled is a nice thing, but everyone needs to be clear on one thing: just today, we have infuriating stories of families getting abducted and ICE creepily surveilling our children. ICE are acting the same as they did last week
Trump is not doing this and the media is lying to you because they want to take him to the dance and kiss

It’s good that Bovino is out and the administration is publicly backpedaling BUT this happened today (and probably many more, too).
My neighbor, a single mother of two in South Minneapolis, was abducted today and everything about it is heartbreaking. There is an immediate (and steep) financial need for lawyer costs.

I know there are so, so many of these right now, but please consider this dear family: gofund.me/9516b14f7
