Shelbourne is another new route that is so much better than it used to be and includes some of the first protected intersections in the CRD. The @victoria.ca side is a quick build curb plunked section with @saanichbc.bsky.social 's section being fully separated bike lanes.

Victoria is Halifax mixed with Vancouver, but with more bikes.

We live in the greatest country.
At Yonge & Dundas Jays fans are obeying the pedestrian scramble, as is the custom & returning to sidewalk each light cycle.
What an incredible win tonight! World series here we come #mlb #bluejays 🐦⚾
We have a bike counter on the multi-use trail going over the bridge. The rush hour is real! You can also see the impacts of unusual weather (snow in Victoria 🤯) and the impacts of seasonal darkness.
yeah Swans is great for people watching!
A brand new section or parking protected bike lanes on Tolmie Ave complete with an Evo bike share station on the @saanichbc.bsky.social side of the road. #yyj #VictoriaBC
Looking a little worn but some Studio Ghibli art work in Quadra Village. Fitting since the Roxy is playing Spirted Away for the next few days. #yyj #victoriaBC
@victoria.ca is there an opening date for the new courts at Topaz Park? They look nearly done. #yyj
I very much agree. I have heard many arguments that it's low priority because other areas of the system are worse which is true but getting some choice riders for things like a bus to the airport is good brand building for @bctransit.com. At least the bus to the ferry is pretty good.
Big news from @bcgeu.bsky.social this morning. Non-binding mediation between the @bcnewdemocrats.bsky.social and the union will begin. 23,000 members remain on strike (+400) with an additional 1,900 on an overtime pan (0) #bc #bcpoli
An updated plot, no additional escalation from the @bcgeu.bsky.social so far this week. 22,600 (~66%) of members on strike with an additional 1,900 on overtime ban. About 5,000 members are essential.

The City of Victoria has a new protected bike lane on Hillside Avenue. This fills a network gap to connect Quadra Village with the Gorge Road East protected bike lane. #yyjbike #bikesky #victoriabc #bikelanes

No updated strike numbers from BCGEU since last Thursday. So today here is the length of time in years to earn back lost wages from 12 days of strike pay (top up strike pay ended Sept 28). Higher income earners lose more during the strike because strike pay is a flat $130/day. #bc #bcpoli

Seagrasses are great but this is false. Most carbon in the ocean is dissolved inorganic carbon and seagrass carbon is a tiny fraction of that. The mixing of stock and flux is also unhelpful. The only way to stop climate change is not burning fossil fuels.

A Redditor made a graph of the percent of population of US and Canada metro areas over 1 million that live in a given density. When they ordered them by average density the lowest ranked Canadian metro area, Edmonton, was ranked 14th between Miami and Washington. 6 of the top 15 were Canadian metros

Agree but these aren't even route numbers they are just locations. I was at location #8 and could turn left to get to location #22 or straight to location #9. To figure out what these locations are you need a map which defeats the whole point in my opinion.

It’s so weird to come to social media to be like “how bout those Jays!” but simultaneously wade through the ongoing documentation of fascism in the country next door 🙃

Yeah these numbers just correspond to locations, not even routes. At that point they are just worse and more confusing address numbers but with no street name.
