I paint the land from the Anishinaabe perspective that we are all one.
I camp on the land and listen to what She tells me. Then I come back to the studio and paint her stories.

If you want there to be a certain kind of art in ten years, you gotta pay for that art now. You gotta make sure small time artists can survive the next ten years. If you can't afford to, then tell people about the art and artists you love. Gush about them. Help others find them.

Today marks the beginning of Treaties Recognition Week. Treaties are living agreements that require ongoing commitment and shared responsibility between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. We all have responsibilities as treaty people and must collectively honour all treaties across Turtle Island.

The weather is so YUCK here that I’ve had zero kids so far… over 150 is the norm. Wind/rain/snow 🎃
On the plus side I guess I’ll catch the game on time. Wearing all blue for luck!

Ok so for a Sport thing and not being a Sport person, that was fun to watch. I’m really impressed by the Blue Jays pitcher who’s almost the same age as my kiddo.

I am watching my annual Sport which tonight is the Blue Jays game.
No idea what half of these Sport words mean. But am I even Canadian if I don’t watch one?
