The political play was to side with B.C. over Alberta - way, way more seats for the Liberals to win. The humanity-on-the-brink play was to stop building pipelines. Even if B.C. blocks the pipeline (likely, but not 100%), very few winners in all this. Very few winners with a new pipeline too.
Premier Smith and I have agreed to a framework built on shared ambitions — to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, unlock the full potential of Alberta’s energy resources, and build a stronger, more sustainable, more competitive economy.

The UCP is not only dodging its responsibility to explain how Bill 9 is in any way proportionate or justifiable in a free and democratic society.

They are putting children at far greater risk of suicide.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far
