Huh. If that's what they called it, they deserve the engagement they get.

It's the perfect move. They can't get mad at you for being an engaged employee.

Maybe. I do think we've seen the max level of what that can do for the Liberals. Without a wipeout of the Bloc or a big collapse of the Cons, they've got almost nothing left to gain. And if either the Bloc or NDP pick up momentum for the next election...

I am amazed that the losses of parties like the Dems in the U.S., the NDP in Alberta, and on and on, just do not seem to be registering with centrists. If anything, this helps Cons in B.C. because they fundraise off anger now and win if they can make Eby look ineffective.
November 27, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Yup. And I can understand the federal Liberal party ignoring that in order to get other wins. I just do not see the wins here. Not if B.C. was already coming out against it. And not with almost no seats to pick up electorally in Alberta.
November 27, 2025 at 7:10 PM
The only thing I can think of that even makes any kind of sense here is that B.C. has some giant project that needs federal approval and that's going to be the bargaining chip. There's just so little winning in this weirdo plan.

You and Max are the best!

If they believe this - or anything - is going to stop all the "I hate Ottawa, Ottawa is to blame" rhetoric, it's an even worse move than I thought. B.C. may fight the pipeline, but then certain whiny Albertans will just be mad until the feds overrule that province - and, yes, the hypocrisy is noted.
November 27, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Yes, the requirement for B.C. to agree to the pipeline means Alberta has to play nice, or find something to offer/leverage. But, either way, if people in B.C. hate the idea of a pipeline and more tankers in the ocean, that's where the Liberals blow this politically. For what? One more AB MP? 🤷🏻‍♂️

As someone who doesn't drive but ate lunch outside until winter drove me to an empty stairwell, I say this is the best use of a car. 🫡

It's always projection and deflection when it comes to accountability and responsibility. Same as it ever was (with this party).
