Distraught at the state of our media and PBS getting defunded? Now’s a great time to cancel one of your subscriptions to a streamer and use that money to make a monthly donation to PBS, which also gets you access to their streaming service where you can stream Great Performances and Sesame Street

So proud that this powerful play is now published. It was such an honor to work on this throughout the development and premiere process.

I was today years old when I learned that the chorus of Nirvana's Come As You Are isn't family--eee family family... Yes I want you to be as a trend as a friend as a moment as family family family family.

Somehow it now feels ... less dangerous.

Of the many actions you could take on the complex issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, a simple but collectively powerful one is how you can engage with media reports on #MMIW
- especially social media. (1/4)

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!

Extraordinary moment — Nancy Pelosi issues a statement calling on Democratic senators to reject the House funding bill, i.e. to defy Chuck Schumer.

"Democratic senators should listen to the women," she says, referring to Murray/DeLauro who want a 1-month stopgap bill instead.

Stumbled across this while researching a new project, from an 1890 editorial:
A quote from an 1890 newspaper editorial by Matilda Joslyn Gage: "And yet the history of the world shows that wherever ecclesiastical schools have been tried--wherever the Church has secured influence above that of the State, the standard of education has been universally lowered."

I do like that its base is open source, which hopefully limits billionaire takeovers in the future. (that's how an earlier geekier version of me won the to join or not to join question)

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just import everything we liked from our old twitter accounts to this platform? Without having to start all over? #newplay #pwopp #amwriting #insteadofredface
