I agree with this take from @theverge.com that Google is positioned to have the most powerful AI, for many reasons.

But Gemini has always been far from the best in my experience. I use it, ChatGPT, & Claude consistently.

Claude has been by far the most helpful.

We all know social media is like a drug.
Here's specifically what drug for each platform.

People are actually buying and reading my book. And sending me pictures. Which is still unreal.

Keep it up. Thank you.

There. Fixed it.

If you're using AI to create content faster, you're doing it wrong.

It's often the dumbest things on the internet that are the best.

Here's a free tool for turning legitimate links into creepy, sketchy looking ones: creepylink.com

We need more of this.

Great experiment and reporting by Mateusz Makosiewicz at @ahrefs.bsky.social revealing how AI can be (easily) manipulated by marketing.

I Ran an AI Misinformation Experiment. Every Marketer Should See the Results
I built a fake brand and tricked 8 AI search engines for 2 months. The results show how any real brand can be poisoned, and how to fight back.

Am I the only one who spends too much time agonizing over whether or not to click that Captcha square that has just a little bit of bus in it when asked to identify all the squares with a bus in it?

Just me? Cool. Welcome to the modern age.

I made a thing (using Claude's help) with some cool words from other languages that can help to inspire us (or at least me) this year. Any of these stand out to you?

A late, non-spoiler reaction to the #StrangerThings finale:

I kept waiting for the bigger reveal or major twist, but ultimately this is how the series should've ended. It wasn't perfect, but it was one of the best series finale's we've gotten in a while.

Best streaming show ever.

Saw Wicked 2 over the weekend. Honestly, it was just boring and predictable.

The visuals were stunning, and the actors were fine. But the pacing was glacial and unimaginative.

Wake Up Dead Man will get a fraction of the attention, but was 10x the movie.

Been waiting for this and so excited that spreadsheets has finally been added. No reason now to keep using Google Drive.
You requested it, now it’s here - introducing Proton Sheets! The privacy-first alternative to Excel and Google Sheets.

Spreadsheets form the framework of modern businesses, and with Proton Sheets, you can ensure your data is private and secure.

You can't spell "anxiety" without "AI".
And the later is increasingly giving me the former.

Anyone who thinks AI will "just keep getting better" clearly hasn't seen the steady decline of literally every other technology over the last 20 years.

There's a good chance this is the best AI will ever be.

Is anyone else getting invited to multiple bogus AI Zoom webinar calls EVERY DAY. I used to get them occasionally, but there's been a flood recently and it's incredibly obnoxious.

This is a random snippet from a marketing email that shows AI's real limitations. Because no LLM model is throwing a phrase like "nebbishy spiraling" into an email. That's pure humanity right there.

New Google Gemini update: we can now do more agentic stuff in your sheets and docs!

I make one simple request for it to help edit something in a Google Sheet: "Sorry, I can't do that."

Gemini is easily the biggest disappointment of the AI era.

We can't cede our thinking to AI, but neither should we cede our writing. Otherwise, we get books like this.

My review of "The AI-Driven Leader" by Geoff Woods: jamrobcar.medium.com/ai-driven-le...
Book Review: The AI-Driven Leader
If The AI-Driven Leader by Geoff Woods is indicative of the literature we can expect from the AI-age, then humanity is in trouble.

Georgia voters: go #vote today.

It's a pretty boring election—two seats on the Public Service Commission. But these local elections really matter.

These people help set our utility prices, which have gone up recently. Your vote matters, especially in "boring" local races.
